This listed mill is certainly the best-known in the Quercy region, not only because it has long been open to the public, but also because of its magnificent landscaped setting and beautiful fortified buildings. Its history, closely linked to the Cistercian monks of the Alix abbey, began in the 13th century. No fewer than four pairs of millstones were used to produce 3 tons/day of flour. Mr. Faure takes visitors on a tour of the mill. He highlights all the procedures put in place by the monks to prevent looters from entering and stealing the flour. Models help visitors to understand how it worked.
