One of the oldest fortresses in the Middle Ages, it had a keep at its center, first mentioned in 923 by Flodoart. By the 12th century, 11 towers had been built. Some of the underground rooms were created during the extraction of limestone for construction in the 11th century. In the 12th and 13th centuries, they were reinforced with arcades to serve as the lord?s cellar. The foundations of a 12th-century castle tower are still visible. In the castle's high courtyard, sheltered by the fortifications, immerse yourself in feudal life, where craftsmen and servants worked at the lord's orders.
