Between Champagne and Burgundy, in the Laignes valley at the heart of Riceys-Bas, Château de Taisne, with its formal gardens and over twenty-five hectares of parkland, has been part of the great history of France since Robert 1er, Seigneur des Riceys, laid the first foundations in 1086?
Surrounded by two arms of the Laignes river, Château de Taisne, a listed historic monument, is one of the oldest in the region. Transformed by successive families, it has never ceased to be reborn, and today is a place to discover in all simplicity.
Meet ?
Charles and Ségolène de Taisne are the most recent heirs to this elegant property, which has been in the family since 1837. They?ll tell you more than anyone about its 10 centuries of history, handed down from family to family.
Today, with their children, they bring new colors to château life. A convivial life, punctuated by moments of sharing with visitors, locals and friends.
Charles and Ségolène are passionate about passing on the simple pleasures of everyday life in this exceptional setting.
An invitation to travel...
Because every visit should be a memory, Charles and Ségolène offer you a new way of visiting, giving you the chance to enjoy a unique moment in an exceptional setting. Whether you're looking for a taste of the gardens, an educational water trail or a simple stroll, take the time to savor?
The château?s interiors are not open to visitors, with the exception of the 12th-century Cellier and the Grande Cuisine, and today?s reception rooms in the outbuildings, including the bread oven room. The gardens are open to the public, with the possibility of extending the visit with a snack... in the family tradition.
In 2024, the château is open from April 1 to September 30 according to a set schedule.
From June 28 to September 1, the château will be open from 1pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday and exceptionally at weekends.
