Built between the 12th and 16th centuries at the end of a rocky spur, the church served as a defensive work, as illustrated by a hoarding over the west portal. The entrance and the choir of the church are of Romanesque architecture. In the Gothic period, the nave is covered with warheads which rest at their base on curious grimacing stone heads. A second nave is added in which the door for lepers opens. The church furniture includes a pulpit, an altarpiece and a statue of Saint Christopher.
