This singular space of more than 9000 ha is a military firing camp. Little subjected to the agricultural and urban landscape upheavals, it is a place where areas of original marshy moorland remain. As a result, an original fauna and flora procession relictuel Landes can be observed. Wet and non-wetland open-air birds can be heard and seen, such as the skylark, the curlew, the meadow pipits, the pitchou warbler.... But the most spectacular of them is the whooping crane, which takes advantage of the quietness of the site to sleep on cold winter nights from November to March
The site is accessible with naturalist guides.
