This Romanesque church was built in the 12th century, on the site of an early Christian edifice that is perhaps the oldest Christian sanctuary in the region. The church of Saint Hilaire de la Combe, listed as a Monument Historique in 1970, was fully restored between 2015 and 2017, and boasts magnificent painted decor from various periods, from the 12th to the 18th centuries. The contemporary stained glass windows are by Madame Michiyo Durt-Morimoto, a master stained glass artist in Japan. The church has been converted into an exhibition space and is managed by the Association des Amis de Curemonte. It is open to the public with free access during art exhibitions of paintings and sculptures. Possibility of visiting during group tours offered by the Association des Amis de Curemonte at no extra charge (06.59.26.73.04).
