The Moisse castle is located in the hamlet of Moisse, in the municipality of Bétête, in the Creuse department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, France. Claude Amable de Beaufranchet settled in 1816 in the small castle of Puy in the municipality of Tercillat. He then bought some farms for sale in Moisse and built a new residence there in 1843. This construction, quite simple, was an enlarged copy of that of Puy. He entrusted it to his son Ernest in 1854.
