This is the twelfth stop on the Renoir route.
"Dance a la campaign" hangs on a facade. The original hangs in the Musée d'Orsay.
The male character who served as the model for this painting is Paul-Auguste Lothe, a former naval officer, passionate about painting and friend of Renoir. The model was the painter's future wife , Aline Charigot. Both are shown at near natural size and take up almost the entire painting.
On the easel is another work by the painter: "L'église d'Essoyes".
