On October 22, 1919, Xonrupt became a commune in its own right, thus separating from Gérardmer.
Labelled "Village Étoilé" and classified as a "remarkable natural site", the commune is oriented towards a diversified nature between lakes (Longemer and Retournemer) at an altitude of 750 m and Vosges summits at 1306 m. Also labeled "Famille Plus", Xonrupt reinforces its tourist vocation while remaining authentic and warm. In winter, alpine and nordic domains will seduce you.
