"Lost in the depths of the Creuse countryside, a small isolated workshop resists the erosion of time, and from morning to night, the tinkling of the hammer on the anvil beats against the clock"

In the contretemps workshop, all work is forged by hand, without power tools or mechanical aids. In my coal-fired forge with hand-operated bellows, I make my creations using the tools and methods of our great-grandparents: from the combined action of flame and hammer come knives, cutlery, pendants, tools and all other wrought-iron objects, small or medium-sized.
