The chapel of Maisonsgoutte was enlarged and renovated in 1737. In 1830, as in many localities in the Val de Villé, a debate began concerning a new extension or a new construction. The building had become too small due to population growth. The church being in poor condition, repairs were carried out from 1867 to 1896. It was not until the spring of 1912 that demolition began. The foundation stone was laid on July 7, 1912 and the new church was consecrated on October 12, 1913. Like the previous one, it is placed under the protection of Saint Anthony the Hermit, celebrated on January 17.
