ÉGLISE SAINT-GERVAIS-ET-SAINT-PROTAIS

Built by the diocesan architect at the end of the 19th century, the church of Saint-Gervais-et-Saint-Protais has a sober architecture. Its western facade is the most elaborate, with the entrance portal, a ternate bay, an oculus, a niche containing a polychrome Virgin and a spire.
The interior of the building houses beautiful objects such as the processional banner with the effigy of the two patron saints of the church, but also a painting registered as a Historic Monument, The Virgin giving the rosary to St. Dominic, painted in 1849 by an artist from Mendez Laget.
Open all year round, the church of Chastel-Nouvel is located in the heart of the old centre of the village.
