Located 7 km from the Hohwald mountain station, the Neuntelstein peaks at 971 metres above sea level. It is a granitic rock rising about 30 metres above the northern mountain range of the Andlau Valley. It offers a beautiful view of the Mont Sainte Odile massif, the plain of Alsace and, on a clear day, the Black Forest and the Alps.
To access it
At the start of the Hohwald take the direction of the Champ du Feu and when arriving at the rand point at the Rotlach (starting point of many hikes) park on the right. Continue on foot for 20 minutes on the path marked with a red disc.
Not very practicable in winter under snow. Particularly suitable for beginners
Minimum height: 15 m
Maximum height: 25 m
Number of channels: 50 from 3b to 7b
