In 1893, the Souvenir Français erected a monument to the memory of a young foot hunter, Louis Rossat, who died as a hero in the evening of the fighting of October 11, 1870, and who remained for a long time the symbol of the courage and devotion of the soldiers of the Army of the Loire.
