Stop off south of Poitiers for a break in Joussé, in the shade of the lime trees on the square of the same name.
Today's halles (covered market) stand on the site of the old, dilapidated hall. It was thanks to the impetus of Gustave Baudin, mayor at the time, that the municipality of Joussé acquired this pavilion for the 1900 Universal Exhibition. A bronze plaque at the foot of a pillar bears the name of the builder, but the plaque is now covered in cement.
