Aproveche una escala al sur de Poitiers para hacer una pausa en Joussé, a la sombra de los tilos de la plaza del mismo nombre.
El actual mercado cubierto se levanta en el emplazamiento de la antigua sala ruinosa. Fue gracias al impulso del alcalde de la época, Gustave Baudin, que la ciudad de Joussé compró este pabellón para la Exposición Universal de 1900. Una placa de bronce al pie de un pilar lleva el nombre del constructor, pero ha sido cubierta de cemento.
