They consisted of three adjoining basins: the covered washhouse, the drinking basin and the hemp retting basin. Unfortunately, only the first two remain. The washhouses are fed by a cut granite fountain with a triangular pediment. The first has fourteen carved washing stones and a paved floor. It is covered with a small flat tile roof. The second basin is a paved trough with a gentle slope to which a few washing stones have been added. The ensemble dates from the late 19th/early 20th century.
