Ville sur Lumes is a village nestled between Charleville-Mézières and Vrigne aux Bois, this commune has 517 inhabitants. The archaeological remains of a Gallic Vicus organized around a fanum were unearthed in 1956. You will be able to discover: - temples,- potter's kilns,- traces of a metallurgical furnace,- dwellings with remains of cellars,- a spring water collector with aqueducts,- a well-cistern,- remains of sewers,- a monetary treasure,- fibulae, belt buckles etc.,- two necropolises,- a Roman road Reims-Cologne,- an enormous moat of the Lower Empire, partly surrounding the vicus,- holes of posts of dwellings of the Lower Empire.
