At the foot of Mont Cassel, you can discover the story of Louis XIV's conquest of Northern France, and in particular the episode involving Saint-Omer and Inner Flanders. A scale model of the battlefield explains the historical context, so you can fully understand what was at stake at the time. An evocation of daily life in 18th-century Flanders completes the visit.
For cyclists, the site has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label (Accueil Vélo® is a national label guaranteeing a high-quality welcome and services along cycle routes for touring cyclists).
Annual closure in December and January.
