The castle of Campet is a noble residence rebuilt from 1640 on the bases of a fortress burned during the wars of religion.
In the 19th century, the Landes architect Augustin Arthaud took part in the modernization of the estate, which took on its current appearance. The southern part of the building was destroyed, the old French gardens were replaced by English gardens and nearly 3,000 trees and shrubs were planted.
It was listed as a historical monument by decree on December 22, 1987.
