Located in the Abbey Saint-Pierre de Vertheuil, unique and unexpected in this place, the small museum of automatons presents some scenes of the everyday life sketched with humor and poetry. Here, it is the animals that imagine themselves in the place of humans....
The abbey, founded in the 11th century by William VIII of Aquitaine, was home in the 12th century to a community under the order of Saint Augustine. Several times devastated (Hundred Years War, Wars of Religion), it was rebuilt in the 18th century and sold in 1792 as a national asset. Summer exhibition of various works.
