Alfred Boucher , born in 1850 in Nogent-sur-Seine, was the founder of La Ruche in Montparnasse , which welcomed artists such as Léger, Modigliani, Soutrine and Chagall. He was also Camille Claudel's first teacher. He died in 1934 in Aix-les-Bains and is buried in the cemetery of Nogent-sur-Seine. Many of his works can be seen in the Camille Claudel Museum in Nogent-sur-Seine.
