Orientation table Pic du Cap Roux

The round ceramic orientation table , placed on the summit of the Pic du Cap Roux (453 m) is a panoramic aid : it shows the names and directions of recognizable mountains, islands and towns around.

The table was installed by the ONF (Office National des Forêts) , which manages the Estérel, and is part of a network of orientation tables in natural areas in France.

What can you see from the table?

- The Alps in the north (Mont Ventoux in clear weather)

- Cannes , Îles de Lérins , and the Mediterranean Sea to the east

- The coastline of Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël and further west

- And on very clear days: Corsica (far out to sea)

When you are at the orientation table, walk a few meters west of the table : there is a quiet corner with a view of the rocks of the interior - an often missed spot without wind.
