The Gros Vallat is the main river in the commune of Ramatuelle and is a ruisseau côtier , a small coastal stream that only carries water periodically, especially after rain showers.
It rises in the remote basin behind Ramatuelle, part of several short wetland basins draining to the Mediterranean Sea and collects precipitation through tributaries such as Liquette , and flows into the sea between Bonne Terrasse and Gros Vallat segment of Pampelonne.
