A pleasant cycle route in the easternmost part of the Parc Naturel Régionale du Haut-Languedoc departing from the beautiful, small hamlet of Basse in the municipality of Octon. Most of the ride is on narrow roads with very limited car traffic. Initially this leads us through the rough, highly eroded reddish landscape typical of the Salagou region. Past the Col de la Merquière it leads us towards the valley of Le Graveson. We follow the river via Lunas and uphill to its source near Col Rouge, also the highest point of the ride. From Col Rouge it goes up and down on the way to Octon via small agricultural hamlets.
