Basse (Octon) - Salasc - Clermont l'Hérault - Lac du Salagou - Basse

A fairly easy cycling route with few elevation meters departing from and arriving in Basse, a hamlet of the municipality of Octon. The first part crosses an agriculturally dominated landscape but changes after a short distance into a much rougher and erosion-affected landscape typified by red rocks. From Salasc onwards we move little by little into the chaotic landscape of Cirque de Mourèze. The return journey from Clermont l'Hérault follows the southern edge of Lac du Salagou. The roads are small with little traffic. On the southern shore of Lac du Salagou some of the roads are in a rather poor state.
