Set out to explore numerous lakes and ponds on this 77 km sporty trail. Corrèze, with its exceptional natural heritage, hosts an important hydraulic network! Between artificial lakes and small ponds, the landscape will continually surprise you. Gimel les Cascades is the starting point of this circuit. The adventure begins with a stunning panorama of the Montane gorges, home to an astonishing triptych of waterfalls. It’s also an opportunity to gain elevation by visiting the ruins of the Gimel castle. In Marcillac-la-Croisille, water is omnipresent and shapes the landscape. Its artificial lake is held back by the 50m high Chastang dam, providing a magnificent view of the Doustre valley. A few kilometers further, the medieval town of la Roche-Canillac presents itself to you, perched on a hillside, proudly overlooking the valley.
