Les Côtes de Bar and champagne: all the sights from Bar-sur-Seine to Bar-sur-Aube

When you say champagne, you immediately think of Reims and Epernay . But know that the Côte de bar en Champagne is a particularly hilly and therefore picturesque alternative! We largely follow the Route touristique du champagne , and therefore not always the shortest route!

With this day trip we do a trip from Bar-sur-Seine to Bar-sur-Aube , with a stopover in Essoyes , the village of the painter Renoir. There we do the local walk "parcours Renoir."

Start in Bar-sur-Seine, which we explore through this city walk.

After the city walk we leave for Les Riceys (Ricey Bas and Ricey Haut) , known for its many champagne houses. In Ricey-Bas, the stained glass windows of the Eglise Saint-Pierre-es-Liens and the Château de Taisne are worth a stop.

We drive past Guyé-sur-Seine to Essoyes where Renoir stayed . We do the adapted Parcours Renoir that you can find here .

After the walk we drive to the stunning panorama of the Plateau de Blu (also a picnic area). We return and stop a little further at the Point de vue of Arconville , the village where we also stop briefly.

We drive past Baronville to Bar-sur-Aube where we first drive to the Point-de-vue Colline Sainte-Germaine for the panorama.
