In a flat landscape that contrasts with the hilly landscape of the Limousin, you will discover the patient work of men who, over time, have improved and transformed this area of few resources in order to take advantage of it. They have laid out roads, created ponds, dug wells and ponds, planted hedges, tended the meadows and forests. The highlight of this part of the Gouzon sedimentary basin is the Etang des Landes, classified as a National Nature Reserve.
