Cycling loop B7: L'Ormont

Located to the north of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, this loop, which can be described as forested, offers you the chance to skirt around the mountain of l'Ormont while brushing the massif of Donon at the highest point on the map. It is a route alternating gentle uphill stretches and short, technical descents.
Starting from the tourist office in Senones, the warm-up is done by following the Rabodeau valley towards Moussey. You gradually ascend for 18 kilometers with a flat finish and three sections at 7%. You will appreciate the seasonal variations in the colors of the forests crossed between Le Saulcy and Ban-de-Sapt. The hardest part is over; a hilly road then allows you to return to Petite-Fosse via the Hermanpaire pass. You let yourself glide for about fifteen kilometers before finding the Paradis forest, the ascent towards Robache followed by a good descent to the foot of the Robache Raids pass.
After Saint-Jean d'Ormont, you reach Hurbache by following the Hure. You join Moyenmoutier via a bump at the summit of which you literally plunge into the forest on a small winding road. You then continue with the ascent of what could resemble a pass up to the place called Le Palon with sections at 7%, the final difficulty before returning to Senones.
