WWu Petit Ballon Grand Ballon 2015

100 km road bike route from Gueberschwihr. Initially, climb directly via the D15 and D40 above the Col de Firstplan (720m above sea level). Descent by the D40 and gentle ascent to Wasserbourg by the D43. Difficult climb from Wasserbourg to Petit Ballon (maximum altitude of 1149m, average of 7.5%). Get off at Sondernach. Via the D27 reasonable climb via the Platzerwasel Pass (maximum altitude 1155 m, average 8.6% from Sondernach). Continue driving to Markstein (top 1184 m) on the D430. From Markstein 7km on the D431 to the Grand Ballon (summit 1343 m) including the first 5.5km slightly sloping and the last 1.5km quite steep.
Go down via Col Amic, D431, to Soultz (4.6% average).
Return to Gueberschwihr through the vineyards.
