AzureThe wood of Païolive is often described as a fairytale forest. This is mainly thanks to the irregularly shaped rocks that seem to have been thrown here and there. The forest is located on a limestone plateau and consists mainly of summer oaks and holm oaks.
We choose the yellow promenade La Corniche. It is a course of about 3 kilometers that runs partly along the Gorges du Chassezac. There are two beautiful views of this deep gorge.
We do not want to go so far as to call this forest a fairy tale. It's a nice walk, not that. But still, the promenade has few highlights. Only the view of the gorge remains. Plus, it's a forest you can find closer to home.
