Description by the author

The walking route starts at Sint-Omer train station, where there is also parking. The route goes north along the Canal du Haut Pont and the river Aa to the village of Saint-Momelin. Then it goes to Clairmarais. You can see the ruins of the old abbey. The still intact abbey farm is also worth a photo. The last part of the route goes from Clairmarais to Sint-Omer. The walk is 15.5 km long and is almost completely flat.
