Campbeltown Library and Museum is a museum and former library in the Scottish town of Campbeltown. It is located in the city center at the intersection of St John Street and Hall Street. In 1984, the building was listed in the highest category A of the Scottish listed buildings.
The founder of the building was James MacAlister Hall, who came from Campbeltown. He returned to his birthplace after a long career in India. He hired John James Burnet, one of the most successful Scottish architects of that time, to design the building in the Scottish Victorian style. The building was constructed in 1897 and 1898, using only high-quality materials. Later, the library was relocated from the building, and the freed-up spaces were used as administrative offices for the town of Campbeltown. The courtyard garden was redesigned in the 21st century and dedicated to Linda McCartney. A sculpture depicting the photographer and musician was erected there.
