Leadenhall Street was the street where the famous British East India Company had its HQs. From here it ruled the might Indian empire for about a century. Did you know that the British East India Company outnumbered the armed forced of the British monbarchy! They had up to 350,000 soldiers. Only in 1858 did the British crown nationalise India along with the company's private army.
