This 13-mile loop is a gentle tour of the Island’s southern heritage, offering a "greatest hits" of historical sites and calm, coastal stretches without the punishing climbs found elsewhere.

Coastal Extensions: The route offers two stunning detours to St Michael’s Isle (featuring a 17th-century fort) and the Langness peninsula for panoramic sea views and fresh salt air.

A "Step Back in Time": You’ll pass a high concentration of Manx history, including Rushen Abbey, the ancient St Michael’s Chapel, and the imposing Castle Rushen in the heart of Castletown.

The South’s Hidden Gems: The path takes you through Silverdale Glen, a picturesque woodland area with a family park and cafe—ideal for a mid-ride break.

Tranquil Lanes: Enjoy the stretch through St Mark’s, characterized by quiet country roads lined with traditional Manx sod hedges and an almost entirely downhill run back toward Ballasalla.

Folklore & Heritage: Keep an eye out for the Nautical Museum, the historic Malew Church (resting place of Illiam Dhone), and the unique pet cemetery.
