In Alba, the Nutella chocolate spread is made (alongside locations such as Villers-Ecalles in France, Sant'angelo dei Lombardi in Italy, Belsk in Poland, Stadstallendorf in Germany), Moscow in Russia, Brantford in Canada, and Lithgow in Australia.
Hazelnuts are gathered in the region but mostly sourced from Turkey. Palm oil comes from Malaysia, cocoa from Nigeria, sugar from Brazil, and vanilla from China.
