Gathering all courage and energy to tackle this last one: after a very short right turn on the asphalt, we dive 50 meters further into the "depth" on gravel, just for a moment because a little further comes the steepest part of this gravel road where Fabian Cancellara dropped the other leaders in 2012: Ballan, Van Avermaet, Iglinskiy, Visconti, Ventoso, Pantano, Amador, Gatto, Failli, Favilli, Van Summeren, Kreuzinger, Reda, Ginanni and Nibali...
I try to do the same with my companions but completely fizzle out... :-(
The last piece of asphalt goes downhill and so we arrive back at the parking lot on Via Aldo Moro.
