Via dei Fori Imperiali is a wide, straight road between Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum, constructed under Mussolini to hold his parades.
On both sides, below the current street level, we see the impressive Roman remains of the many "Fori", built at the time under the authority of various emperors. This busy road in the city center is gradually becoming car-free. The works currently being carried out are for the construction of the new metro line C.
