Description

“The Family of Man” is the largest photo exhibition ever to be created by the American photographer and curator Edward Steichen, who originally hailed from Luxembourg. It was inaugurated in 1955 in the New York "Museum of Modern Art" (MOMA). This large-scale photo exhibition wants to promote mutual understanding between people by using the universal language of photography. In 2003, “The Family of Man” was added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World List.
