The Malakoff Tower in the city of Luxembourg was built in 1861 and is located in a tight bend on Rue Jules Wilhelm, very close to Rue Malakoff, between the district of Clausen and Fort Thüngen leading up to the Kirchberg Plateau.
Another Malakoff Tower in Luxembourg is a standalone mushroom-shaped rock on the Müllerthal Trail. The name was given by Dutch soldiers stationed in Echternach in the mid-19th century, in memory of the strategic significance during the Crimean War.
