The Eisch (Luxembourgish: Äisch) is a river in Luxembourg.
The Eisch springs from various sources in the border region of Belgium, near Sélange (in the province of Luxembourg), and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, near Clemency and Fingig.
The river flows through the places Eischen, Hobscheid, Septfontaines, Ansembourg and Marienthal. The Eisch flows into the Mersch in the Alzette.
The valley in central Luxembourg is often referred to as the Valley of the Seven Castles due to castles in Koerich, Septfontaines, Ansembourg (Castle Ansembourg and Château d'Ansembourg), Hollenfels, Schoenfels and Mersch.[1]
