Nature Park Lelystad is a natural recreation area near Lelystad that is managed by the Flevo Landscape Foundation. It originated in the 1970s because the Amsterdam zoo Artis needed extra space for large ungulates. In the park, all kinds of animals from the Eurasian area are kept in large fenced areas that are no longer often found or endangered in the wild, such as bison, Father David deer and Przewalski horses. The Nature Park is the only place in the Netherlands where moose can be seen.
