The park is located along the Zijlsingel between the Zijlpoort and the site of the former Flour Factory. It can only be accessed via a few bridges over the Binnenoostsingel, a part of the still existing inner canal on the city side. The park is designed in a reconstructed traditional fortification wall shape with a double row of chestnut trees as canal planting.
