On the eve of the Maastricht Treaty (1991), wine from Apostelhoeve was served in the town hall of the former Mosae Traiectum. The then French president François Mitterand must have been very charmed by it. Years later, during an unexpected visit to the estate, his widow said that her husband was impressed by the white wine he had drunk in Maastricht. You would consider visiting the winery of Mathieu Hulst and his sons Gilbert and Robin for less.
