The havezate is located a few kilometers south of the village of Dalfsen. Just north of the havezate is Dalfsen Station.
The oldest mention of Huva Ten Berghe dates back to 1483. In 1700 it was bought by Baron Willem Jan van Dedem, who, together with his wife Gerbregt van Delen, had a new house built in its place. This was completed in 1705. Their weapons can be seen on the façade and on the vases of the entrance gate. The house was restored in 1985.
