The Lourdes grotto is located on the slope of the Couberg behind a spacious square with benches. It is an exact copy of the original in France.
The grotto was hewn in 1926 on the initiative of Pastor Hermans based on a design by J. Ras. In 1929, according to a design by architect Dils, the stone sacristy and the accompanying kiosk for the sale of religious articles were built. The statue of Bernadette from Linssen's workshop was created in 1934. J. Eymael made the pulpit to the right of the altar.
The grotto is carved into the chalk wall. Above the grotto is a statue of Mary, and to the right of the grotto is a pulpit. To the left of the grotto are the sacristy and the kiosk. The statue of Bernadette is also on the left.
In the grotto, there is an altar on a platform made of hard stone with two access steps. Behind the altar, there is the opportunity to light candles.
