Otterlo is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The village and the surrounding countryside has 2380 (2006) inhabitants. In 2005 the 1150th anniversary of Otterlo was celebrated. The suffix lo is a historical name for a forest. The name of the place Otterlo was also written in the past as Otterloo. These two names were used alternately. This can still be seen on old postcards.
