Glass sculpture
On the wall of the station on the east side, hangs a work of art by the American Gerhard Metz from 1992. They are two windows made of milk glass and should provide an answer to the characteristic recesses in the façade cladding that the architect E. Cuypers incorporated into the building in 1910. It is an architectural commentary on Cuypers' creation. One can also see it as a pair of eyes staring over the track in the distance. The artwork is part of an international art project "Kunstwegen", in which 63 works of art by artists from all over the world, have been placed in the public space between Nordhorn and Zwolle.
