The Hettenheuvel near Kilder, with about 93 meters NAP, is the highest hill in East Gelderland. In the past, the Hettenheuvel played an important role for surveying, as a triangulation point. A stone with the inscription RD (National Triangulation) is still on the top. The Hettenheuvel lends itself to wonderful walks. From the Loolaan, a hollow road leads to the top, worn out by the rainwater. North of the Hettenheuvel is the 80.2 meter high hill Kale Jacob, so popularly called because of its resemblance to a bald head. It is not clear why it is named after Jacob.
